Three Drabbles With One Theme
Today’s Theme: Identity
Lately, I have been having a lot of fun writing Drabbles. These are 100-word fiction stories. I want to start choosing one theme for all the stories in a post. My hope is that this exercise will do three things:
- Help me write clear AND concise content
- Inspire longer future stories
- Allow me to organize my thoughts
Today, I chose the theme “identity” because it’s an essential part of our individuality and well-being. Without further ado, here are my Drabbles!
Let Me Be Myself
“Lana, we have to go now!”
“Roy, I told you. I’m going to paint ceramics with Jessica. I’ll go with you next week.”
“These conventions are important, sweetie. I'll get more projects if I collaborate with other video game designers. You and I will have enough money to do everything we want to do.”
“I’ve gone to several conventions with you. They’re boring. And I don’t want a big fancy house, five kids, or month-long vacations.”
“I thought you did.”
“No, that was Maggie. We’re complete opposites.”
“Wow, you’re right.”
